Dr Svetlana Speight

The National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) leads on the SEED study. NatCen is responsible for the overall design, delivery and quality of the evaluation. Dr Svetlana Speight is a Research Director at NatCen. On SEED, she is the Project Manager responsible for all aspects of the study. She is also the lead on the longitudinal survey of families (face-to-face surveys at ages 2, 3, 4 and 5, surveys of early years practitioners and teachers, and linking with administrative data from the National Pupil Database until the children are age 7). In addition to the longitudinal survey, NatCen led on a number of qualitative studies on SEED focusing on good practice case studies, experiences of families with children with special educational needs and disabilities, Early Years Pupil Premium and experiences of childminders.
